How to Survive (and THRIVE) as an affiliate marketer…

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.

There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.

Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end up maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do. Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving!

Right now there are numerous people who know how to optimize their site since they optimize their website. Business people and computer enthusiasts are aware of the different steps in optimizing a website and some of the steps are blogging, linkbuilding, forum marketing, linkwheel building, backlinking among others. A lot of SEO companies nowadays just disregard the importance of making a quality web page content. During the process of SEO, the site content is the most essential part because it is where a wide range of benefits come from.

What’s necessary for search engines is the content on the site so for you to have a good content you must have articles in your site which aren’t duplicated from other sites. A classic and unique content in a site definitely makes the site attractive to visitors and search engines since they both read the content. The net users are the ones that makes internet traffic and a lot more internet traffic means high ranking to search engines so if you have high ranking in search engines you’ll receive more profits. Maybe the visitors in your site will recommend your internet site to their friends since your site has a good content.

Google is looking for unique articles and articles that don’t have bits of words from other sites for you to do this you have to make articles from scratch. You must make your own articles and never copy ideas from other sites so that your articles will not reach more than 20 occurences over the web. Google will never help you get to the top whenever they see your articles are just duplicated from each other. So the best thing you can do to prevent these matters from happening is to make your own original content.

You need to know just what are the things that web visitors wants to know from your site as well as following just what the search engines say. For you to achieve success on your SEO, you have to meet the needs of the search engines together with your site visitors. For the people to learn the things that are written in your web content, you need to have a good English when writing articles or contents because this is highly regarded not only by people but also by search engines. Unique and original website contents are usually counted by SEO companies for them to rake good points from internet users and search engines.

What is Blog Marketing all About?

People across the world are using their blogs for marketing purposes. Some make a full time living just from blog marketing and others do it as a hobby. Depending on just how serious you are about marketing your blog, you may find that some aspects of blog marketing are just something more that you are not interested in doing. For example, if you have a blog that you update and just have as a hobby, you are not hardly going to be worried about how many readers you have, as well as how many sales you make from your blog. But, if your blog were more than just a hobby, and how you make an income, you would be wanting to know all of these things and more.

Blog marketing is a technique that many use. While not everyone that has a blog markets it the same way, they all generally have the same goal. Which is more traffic, sales, and readers. When you have all of these things you were successful in marketing your blog. But you should know that just because you have all of these things does not mean that you are done marketing. Actually blog marketing is a never ending task. There will always be something more that needs to be done, and you will never actually be done.

Marketing your blog consists of many things all used together to get the same end result. Such as getting links to your blog or leaving comments on other’s blogs. Using SEO which is search engine optimization is another thing that is important in the world of blog marketing. You should use SEO on your blog just as you would a website. Doing so will get you higher in the search engine results and will result in a blog that anyone can find that is looking for the products or information that you have.

Make sure that your blog has the RSS feeds. Having these feeds will allow others to be able to link to you blog. Having many links a huge part of blog marketing that you want to take advantage of as well. When someone uses the RSS feeds from your blog, they are able to get the posts that you make, and will give you a link back from their blog, or website, whichever they posted it on. This is another excellent way to market your blog and will get you the results that you are looking for. You can also use RSS feeds from someone else’s blog on your blog, and return the favor.

Blog marketing entails many things as you can see, whether you are blogging for a hobby, or an income is going to make a huge difference in the techniques that you choose to use, as well as the outcome. Be sure that you are using the best techniques that will get you the results that you want and that you are looking for. If you are not sure what that is, just wait before you actually start marketing your blog so that you wont be wasting any time. Wasting time on something that you are not sure about is almost as bad as wasting your hard earned money on it. Do your research, and be passionate about your blog and what you have to say.

When you are new to blogging it can be confusing when you first start. If you are considering getting into small business blog marketing, you will want to first have a blog and see what that is like before you get into something more. Blogging requires dedication and patience. You have to update your blog on a regular basis in order to keep your readers happy. Doing so will keep them coming back for more and to see what you have new to say.

Small business blog marketing consists of blogging about your business. It definitely is a great tool that you should use to get your business out there and known by others. However, you will need to be patient because it is a long process that will require much of your attention. Just because you have a blog does not mean that someone is going to find it and read it. You are going to have to make it known. If you have a website for your business, you can link your blog to it and that will let the ones that know about your business and business website know about your blog as well.

Small business blog marketing is something that anyone can do. Having a blog and keeping it up to date with the latest information is not hard. All you need to have is a plan and you will be set to market any type of business from your blog. Whether you are selling a product or a service, it does not matter. A blog that is marketed the right way will be beneficial to any business whatever it might be.

So you are probably wondering how you are going to accomplish this small business blog marketing. When you are marketing a blog, you pretty much do it the same way that you would market a website. It is going to need keywords, and content. You can write the content yourself, or pay someone else to write it for you. That part is totally up to you. However you will want to be sure that the content is decent and something that your readers will want to read. This will keep them coming back. Make sure that the content is written from special keywords that you choose. You will also want to become familiar with SEO which is Search Engine Optimization. SEO will help you to optimize your blog to get a better ranking with the search engines.

Once you have chosen the keywords, and gotten some content published on your blog, you will be ready to get it out there some more. Link exchanges are wonderful for marketing your small business blog. You want to try and exchange links with sites that are relevant to yours, but not in direct competition. If you try to exchange links with sites in competition with yours, you are going to find that many of them will turn you down in fear of losing business to you.

Paid directories are a big part of small business blog marketing as well. You can pay some directories to list your blog URL in their directory under the specific category that it falls under. However, some of these even have specific qualifications that you must have to get in. Follow all of the application steps, and you should be ok. Just do not try to submit your blog to a directory that it does not qualify for, or fit in.

Another important thing to remember when you are into small business blog marketing is that if anyone leaves you a comment on your blog, you should acknowledge it and respond. You can also comment on other blogs that are relevant to yours, and leave a link to your blog as well. This will help bring in visitors to your blog, and you will begin to see more and more traffic.

Small business blog marketing is not rocket science, however someone that has never marketed a single thing before in their life may have problems. Be patient, keep working at it and experimenting, and join online forums for help.

Generally speaking, an affiliate marketer can market, and make money without investing in a domain, or investing in hosting. However, in order to take their business to the next level, those two things are necessary. Plus, having a mailing service, an auto-responder service, is also a recommended investment.

By investing in a domain name, an affiliate marketer could do without hosting, and still make use of the domain as a simple forwarder. When registering the domain, and you should be using a keyword-related name, you should be able to setup the domain to forward to the affiliate url of your choice. What this will do, is allow someone to type in your domain name, and get sent to the site specified by your affiliate url.

Now, if you invest in hosting, to go along with your keyword-related domain name(s), you open up the possibilities of being able to optimize your site for keyword searches on the search engines. You also would be able to try and capture contact information from your visitors. Using an auto-responder service, you will be able to send emails to those captured contacts, to help convince them to purchase the affiliate product(s) you are promoting.

Here at FreeAffiliateTraining.com, we recommend Godaddy for your domain names, hostgator for your hosting, and aweber for your auto-responder.

Best of Success to YOU!

In these tough economic times, many people are asking, “How can I make money online?” More and more of them are discovering the possibilities of niche affiliate marketing.

Niche affiliate marketing is a simple, three-step process. First, you look for a niche market. Second, you become a member of an affiliate program. Third, you market the product.

A niche market is a small section within a larger market. Vintage Chevrolet carburetors, for example, would be a niche within the larger auto parts market. Mac laptops would be a niche within the computer market.

Identifying a solid niche is an important part of Internet marketing. Selecting one that fits your interest and has potential buyers will make it easier to make money online.

You need to find a niche that has a large number of prospective customers, but doesn’t have a lot of competition. Golf clubs might have too much competition. Left-handed putters, however, might have less competition but still have enough potential buyers.

You’ll also want to look for a niche that has products that are easily purchased online. Sectional couches might not have much competition, but that might be because very few people buy them over the Internet.

Another way to recognize a strong niche is if the products within it bring about an emotional reaction from the buyers. People buy exercise programs because of how they feel when their health improves.

After you’ve found a niche, you need to locate an affiliate program associated with it. Many affiliates prefer to market informational products like e-books, but some have great success promoting items that are found in regular retail stores.

The best way to find an affiliate program is through the search engines. Just search for your niche + affiliate program. You’ll find that many traditional retailers now have affiliate programs.

Once you become a member of an affiliate program, you can start marketing. A good way to start is by writing articles with information needed by people who will buy the product or service you’re promoting. You provide a link to a web site or a sales page at the end of the article.

Article marketing is a good way to market products if you don’t have a large budget. It takes effort, because the more articles you write, the more likely it becomes that a reader will buy the product you’re marketing.

Have you asked yourself, “How can I make money online?” If so, you should try niche affiliate marketing.

A great many marketers (affiliate, or otherwise), the world over, wonder how to get their marketing message out to those that they want to read it. Dan Kennedy discusses (in this reprint) just how to go about getting your message to your audience…

Ads or Articles – Which is Better to Market a Small Business?

The Advertorial, The Challenge Of Maximum Readership Reconsidered

The knee-jerk answer is: articles. And the argument for the “advertorial” i.e. an ad made to look like editorial material is that it is obvious; people buy newspapers and magazines for the articles, not the ads. But, like all dogma, ain’t necessarily so. For example, lots of people buy the Wednesday newspaper to get the supermarket coupons, buy the Friday or weekend newspaper to see the movie and nightclub ads. In analogy, people often go to national conventions more interested in the trade show than in the seminars, me included.

MY ADVICE: DON’T STEP IN THE DOGMA

Anybody who has an ironclad rule about the most successful way to do something can be proven wrong. I constantly violate one of the most respected direct response copywriter’s rule about the number of words for a headline. The “A-pile mail” argument makes perfect sense, but I have beaten it in split-tests with teaser copy laden envelopes. Not often. But sometimes. To conclude that the advertorial is the ad format that will always get the highest readership is wrong. On the other hand, a lot of advertisers err in never using it – in space as well as in direct-mail.

I try to be careful about this; I know too much about what doesn’t work. So, I try to be careful not to be dogmatic, or too quickly shut off a client’s idea. I’ll say: I’ve never known ‘x’ to work, and I’ve certainly seen it not work, but let’s explore it from several different directions, including:

Can it be easily and cheaply tested?

Is there a more reliable approach that will do just as well?

Is there enough benefit to balance the cost of experimenting? Etc.

THE CHALLENGE OF READERSHIP

Here’s the key point to keep in mind, whether contemplating different ads or FSI or direct-mail formats, headlines, photos, grabbers, etc.: it can’t sell if it isn’t read. The Big Lesson is – you have to WORK JUST AT GETTING IT READ. Not presume readership, which is what most people do. Way, way, way too much advertising and mail is produced with a presumption of readership. Actually, the opposite is the smarter approach; presuming every recipient will try NOT to read it.

THE BEST WAY TO MAXIMIZE READERSHIP IS targeting. My message to market match’ principle. But when you can’t target, when you must use mass media and fish from a very large lake, then you have to work even harder at getting people to bother reading your message.

How to make sure YOUR articles get published; avoid some of the mistakes that many article authors made…

Sending successful articles to ezine publishers could expose your website to thousands of subscribers, even millions of readers online.

However, to do this successfully, you must compete with other internet marketers. They also send articles to the same ezine publishers like you do.

The question is… How to make your article stand out from the crowd?

Alternatively…

Your article goes to the trash bin.

Here are 8 common mistakes that many article authors have made.

Mistake #1- Wrong-targeted niche market

Many article authors sent their article to the wrong-targeted niche market. Send your article to the targeted audience. Do not try to blast your article to all ezine publishers. For instance, as an ezine editor I have received many articles that were not related to internet, or affiliate marketing. Therefore, I didn’t publish them.

Mistake #2- No Subject

You do not write your article headline on your subject email. Many article authors send their articles without a subject line. Instead of writing “New Article submission”, or “article for your publication”, consider “New article – 8 Mistakes You Should Avoid Before Sending Article To Ezine Publishers”.

Mistake #3- Not unique

Your article content is a blatant idea. Topic you write about, it is like the other submitters want published and not much different. Make your article fresh and unique. Learn something new in your market. Convert what you learned into a unique article. You could write article on topic “how to”, “Tips” or anything else similar that might come to your mind. Even on article, title “how to avoid SPAM”, “how to hack hackers back”.

Mistake #4- Advertising article

Your article more on promoting your product or affiliate program you join. Writing advertising article only will kill your business online. Give your website info only on your resource box. Give something free like free e-books, free report, or free download. Make your readers visit your website to receive their free bonus.

Mistake #5- Lack of valuable information

Your article does not educate your targeted audience. People subscribe to ezine to receive valuable information. If they receive information on topic they do not want, not educate them at all, they will unsubscribe. Therefore, ezine publishers will not publish your article. Many ezine publishers provide information as best as they can to their subscribers.

Mistake #6- Spelling problem

There are too many spelling errors on your article. Sending article with too many spelling errors only waste your time. Check your article twice before you submit it to be published. You could use spell-checking software.

Go to the major search engine and type “free spell-checking”. Most word processors today have built in spelling check. For instance, MS Office can check the misspelled words for you with underline red color.

Mistake #7- Without format

Make sure your article format 65 characters per line. Length of your article must between 500-750 words. Formatting your article will make it easier for ezine publisher to copy and paste it. You could send your article through MS Outlook Express.

Go to “tools” menu and click “Options”. Click “Send” tab and choose mail-sending format to “plain text”. Then click “plain text setting” tab, select 65 characters to automatically wrap text when sending email.

Mistakes #8- No Personalized message

Personalize your email message with a short cover letter. Personalization of your emails is very important because many ezine publishers receive hundreds of article submissions every day. Also, include your article information in your personalized message.

Avoiding those mistakes above will make your article more likely to be successfully published by many ezine publishers on the net. Good luck.

The previous post was adapted from just one of the many PLR articles available below:

Yes, what purpose does your landing page serve, what does it do? What message does it convey?

It should have ONE purpose, that is to either MAKE THE SALE, GET THE OPT-IN, or BUILD YOUR CREDIBILITY (or TRUST), but NOT all three, at one time, on one page…

As an affiliate marketer, you want to make sales of whatever product you are promoting. So, how do you get an opt-in for that? By offering something for FREE, an “ethical bribe”, related to the product being promoted…

Why would you even WANT an opt-in? Well, for one thing, you’ll be able to contact those who opt-in, to be able to sell them further on the original product you’re promoting, AND further related products in the future. You aren’t promoting a “dead-end” product are you?

If your landing page is a “sales” page, you need to SELL on that page… (Learn how to write effective sales pages) The ONLY call to action that you want on your SALES page is a BUY NOW call to action. Anything else distracts your visitor from what it is that you drove them to the page for, which was to BUY NOW!

A build trust, or credibility page should not have sales messages, opt-in boxes, etc. on it… Why is it there? To build your TRUST to the visitor, nothing more. A link to your opt-in, or sales page is okay, at the END of the building TRUST process, and not so overpowering that it distracts from the building trust purpose.
